I do think it is very important to bring relevant issues such as AIDS, racism, the world peace, etc. closer to our students. It is a way to improve student's awareness and concern about our society, since they are the ones who may build up a more just, more supportive and participative society. They have to play an important role in it and I really believe they have to know about that.
